Author Matthew DuPée has been one busy guy lately. His fall book tour in promotion of We’re Here for the Krites: The Making of Critters was not only a success, but a great time as well! The tour kicked off at the famous Forbidden Planet bookstore in NYC where Matthew was joined by Critters actor Jeremy Lawrence in a rare public appearance! (You’ll recall Jeremy having played Reverend Miller, whose appearance was briefly assumed by the bounty hunter Lee.)

Matthew was then off to Crypticon Minnesota where he ran into famed little person actor Kevin Thompson, who played the “Giant Critter” in the original 1986 film. Thompson shared how challenging it was to maneuver the krite’s jaws inside the massive suit, which weighed almost as much as he did! Thompson has a book of his own where he shares stories about appearing in classic films like Return of the Jedi and Blade Runner.

The author’s tour continued on with stops in Maryland at the FrightReads Festival and Park Books Indie Author Event. If you haven’t already snagged a copy of We’re Here for the Krites, you can do so here! (Photos below courtesy the author)
